I know that protecting privacy is a bit of a niche area, there's more money in company focused cyber security. I do care about it a lot though

i wouldn't say it's that niche.. a lot of people care about their privacy now-a-days. How do you plan on protecting it?

It always depends on what kind of data they need protecting and what they need to do with it. In general full disk encryption and encrypted messaging services are useful for everybody though
