and proxies used to be banned in the UAE
when the migration to https happened, supertokens was parked, but the ban remained

I contacted my ISP and they said they're not allowed to unblock supertokens due to its past history

I’m not sure if we will make the io option not redirect. It will affect our SEO

Ah right. So API wise, there isn’t much you can do on our site other than sign up, spin up a core and change it’s configurations. Other things are to be done on the backend SDK / frontend SDK level
So the best way right now would be to use a proxy service to access our site

It's not a free country. People move here willingly, the people who agree with the rules.
Rules are enforced and we prefer it this way

It's open as long as you don't violate safety and cultural laws
The laws here are always FOR the people
There isn't a single law that is there to protect the government

you can get a decent place as long as you're working using your education (University Degree). Other than that the UAE is not really for you unless you're single and/or working in UAE to send money to an asian country.
but it's exclusively rent here, no one buys houses.

@thethiny we've reached out to Etisalat (officially) to unblock the SuperTokens website. If you know other developers facing similar issues in the UAE, please ask them to write to their ISP as well. That would be really helpful. 🙂

Thanks. Etisalat is one of the two ISPs in the UAE, the other being Du. Du inherits the block list from Etisalat so I believe that would be sufficient. Nevertheless Du doesn't have SuperTokens blocked as of today.

Oh wonderful! We'll keep following up with Etisalat. Would it be possible for you to maybe submit a request from your end as well? They require the account number. Maybe send them an email? Also, the call centre number is 101 and I don't think people outside the UAE can call on this number: https://www.etisalat.ae/b2c/ecareLogin.html
